Please remind me who was the March Birthday and did you receive a block from me? For some reason I have blocks sitting to be sewn and thought I was a little bit ahead. Now I wonder if I accidently skipped over March. I'm away from home where my master list is located. Thanks.
Hi Ladies!
How are those blocks coming? I know a few of you are already done for the year - go you! Personally, I like to space mine out a little -
suri's just went out in the post today. Remember to let me and
hardhatcat know if you have any problems.
Keep up the great work!

Since someone asked a while ago, I can finally reveal my 2011 and 2012 Birthday Block Swap Quilts.

Apparently August has come early, but forgot to bring the summer weather with it.
Blocks Received:
suri - 18 Feb 2013
blueskyeyez - 19 Feb 2013
Just a reminder that I'd prefer all solid fabrics, no tone-on-tone or other prints. If you don't have any/don't want to buy any, let me know and I'd be happy to trade enough solids to make a block for... something you have in your stash.

One of our swap members has asked me to politely remind people to check and double check your finished sizes as she has received multiple blocks that she may not be able to use because they are poorly sized. Please try and get your block as close to the finished size as humanly possible, utilizing scant 1/4" seams and measuring throughout the assembly help immensely!
Otherwise, keep up all the good work ladies - I received my last block today, so I'm all in and can start finishing everyone else's once I get this theatre production out the door!
Happy sewing!

Ladies, please forgive me.
Since I travel for work, I get my mail in bulk after being sorted by my teenaged son. Which means it comes piecemeal at best.
My fiancé didn't realize the importance of letting me know who sent which blocks- just "yay, you got a quilt block" in a text.
So, I have received the following, as well as the block from
blueskyeyez, that seems to be missing. :-/
I know this goes against the "only one sent/received post" rule, but I'm really at a loss here.
I have cards/envelopes from the following:
aalia7
aphoenixrain
suri
kissmary
jewells68
*sigh* I am truly sorry for the lack of organization this year!!!

Like
suri, my block instructions are pretty specific. I'm hoping everyone has some kind of bright yellow in their stash, and won't have to buy fabric just for my block. Tone-on-tone prints are just fine. Just as long as the block "reads" black and yellow.
As an example of tone-on-tone, I received my first block - from
blueskyeyez - pic here - and it's perfect!
hardhatcat has also made a block - pic here - also perfect!
For those of you who paperpiece, there are lots of free Harry Potter-themed blocks over at Fandom in Stitches. In fact, I chose 10" as my block size because most of the blocks at that site are 5" and easily doubled when printing. This is not a hint! I'm just throwing it out there, because I'm planning on making a few of those blocks myself to finish off this top.
As you might can tell by the icon, I'm pretty much off the deep end of this fandom, so getting yellow and black quilt blocks in the mail is making me giddy.
I'm really looking forward to combining traditionally pieced patchwork blocks with paperpiecing for this quilt, and if you have any questions as to the yellow I'm looking for, please feel free to pm or email me.
